I don’t know about you, but I’ve been on vacation brain since about Thursday. I’ll be driving back to Indiana next week so posts will be few and far between while I’m visiting family and friends but I’ll still be doing some regardless. So with that said, here are some of my favorites from the week before Thanksgiving. Indulge below.

“Aleesha Keyes” -Howie Stackz

Howie Stackz is one of my favorite indie artists doing it right now. The Aurora, IL artist needs some time on this one and the video is excellent, showing Howie in deep thought while a party is happening around him.

“Sushi Shop Stuntin” -Amor Jones

Amor Jones wrote a song about being newly single and how it was awkward for his first date. It’s definitely a song that has happened to us at some point, except Jones took the awkwardness and made it into art. He produced it too.

“Lately” -Lyfe Harris

Here’s something different: we have some new music from Lyfe Harris that’s uptempo! Lyfe’s past stuff is amazing in its own right but to hear him on something with some tempo is awesome. Go inside of Lyfe’s frame of mind on this one.

“Reggie Miller” -Joey Burbs

Anytime you can recreate a basketball scene that’s known to NBA fans, you’ll hit a homerun. Joey Burbs recreates the Reggie Miller/Spike Lee feud and drops this excellent track for “Reggie Miller”. Now if only we could get Reggie to shut up during TNT broadcasts.
